Bar Le Senateur - Montréal

This is maybe a step or two above the usual restaurant bar. No reason to go here except it is conveint for hotel guests. Montreal has many more options . Service was ok. Our waiter seemed disappointed we were not getting a full 3 course meal but rather a series of small plates. The food was again, just average. No reason not to go if you have been on the run all day.

Le Sénateur is a nice size hotel bar with an inviting decor including some Montreal Canadiens memorabilia. Prompt, hospitable and friendly service. Since I was with my laptop, I really appreciated that I was left alone to enjoy my drink while I continued working. What impresses me is the bar's whisky selection for scotch lovers.

Good hotel lounge. TVs for sport events. Menu offers same fare as dining room. Good service but "slammed" after a Montreal Canadiens hockey game.

Nice place with good service. screens for sports games. good atmosphere a little bit fiery. Excellent food.

We were staying close by so decided to dine at Bar Le Senateur for dinner. The decor was old school with heavy dark furniture & carpets. We ordered a steak & fish for mains. Both were very average & we had wished we had dined elsewhere for the money involved. However the staff were very friendly & efficient.
