Basha Monkland - Montréal

I often stop at this restaurant towards the end of the evening, for a chicken, or falafel, or vegetarian pita, with some garlic potatoes, just before they close at 11pm. There are many affordable options on their menu, both vegetarian and other.Staff are very friendly and social, prepare your choice of food to eat there or take-out, as you watch them mixing all the ingredients of your choice. There are tables outside on the front deck, or inside the restaurant. Such a better choice of food versus the fast-food, unhealthy, junk burger joints! Very affordable pricing to encourage your appetite satisfaction, and your follow-up returns.

I've been going to this restaurant since it opened. The staff is extremely nice and I've gotten to know them over the years. The food is excellent (I recommend the Shawarma plate.)

The Basha Restaurants have been around Montréal for a long time. My husband insists that the flagship location on St. Catherine

Of all the Montreal bashas, that of monkland is the one I found the least good. My guest and I ordered the shish taouk plate and the shawarma sandwich. The meats were so dry! On the hour of the noon, it gives the impression that it is about remains of the day before. The sandwich was tasteless, very little garnished. and very little hummus. Do we have to go back to the counter to ask again what appears to us as the base of the sandwich?I didn't eat at my hunger. On the other hand, the small terrace is good. The location is perfect for residents of the neighborhood. Hope they can improve.

This is a family owned place and they are so wonderful always wanting to please their clients. I love the food try the shish taok and they have great meat dishes too . I just do not eat mean but my son went and he loved the shawarma. They also have fresh grilled vegetables and great potatoes and salade. It is a very clean place with a tv screen, and an outdoor patio to eat outside if you so desire. I have eaten at many of these places but I really like this one because the ambiance of it is so wonderful.
