I was wandering down Ste-Catherine street looking for an early morning coffee when I saw someone making a true crepe in the window, so in I went! I asked for a coffee, which came in a bowl - just the thing this expat Montrealer needed to see after too many years of living with Starbucks and Timmy's. There is an expansive menu of crepes of all kinds, grouped by sarasin or froment (salt or sweet), so I ordered myself a pesto and spinach crepe, which was prepared in front of my eyes while I sipped on my bowl of coffee. Very civilized! The crepe and coffee were excellent, service was quick - CC is much more of a fast food joint than a restaurant. The tables and chairs are in a little rough shape, laid out very much like a Starbucks, but the food and coffee are excellent and they have lots of newspapers for reading over coffee. This place is great value for money, an excellent choice for a fancy dessert crepe or a full meal crepe. I highly recommend you try it out.
We had breakfast in this nice bar in downtown Montreal. Great coffee and excellent crepes. Pastry is also worth paying attention. I recommend it
Convenient stop for a quick bite while shopping. You stand in line and then take your meal to a table. Coffee is very good. Many different types of choices for eats--crepes, sandwich, quiche, pastries. Staff is hard-working and quick. This was a second time stop for our friend who sought out this place. We would definitely return as well.
Stopped in here, instead of our usual crepe stop. Not bad at all. Had the plain crepe with sprinkled sugar and lemon. Kids had nutella and banana. No one was dissatisfied. I even had a chai latte with almond milk. Prices pretty good. Would recommend stopping into this cafe. Also, free WIFI. Only wish there weren't so many flies, but I guess this is to be expected, considering the front window is open air.
