This is a nice little coffee shop at the top of the mount royal. the load was busy and a little overpriced, but that is what they would expect.
We spent some of our afternoon walking round the park, taking in the views and photographing the autumn foliage! Cafe des Amis was a great little spot to have a break and a grilled cheese sandwich with mushrooms and onions. They were delicious! We sat...outside but there is indoor seating too. The waitress was very pleasant and the prices were reasonable.
While walking in the Mount Royal Park, it is nice to find this café on a nice location to have a quick lunch. We ordered smoked salmon sandwiches and they were fresh and tasty. It is nice to eat outside on the grass and watch...the squirrels. The only dissonant was that the toilets were under construction and we had to go to very dirty chemical toilet cabins in front of the café.
We had read good reviews for lunch in this place on Frommers and other sites, so we were looking forward to seeing Mont Royal Park definitely disappointed I would not recommend this place because food quality was sub par, high price and...Staff wasn't friendly food sandwich vegetarian, we asked what it was for a vegetarian sandwich as it ran out of her veggie sandwiches. We asked if they could make us a vegetarian sandwich, and the cashier said no, so we asked someone else in the kitchen and she also said that they could not make a vegetarian sandwich, although they had all the ingredients in the house to make it. So we insisted on a manager and finally, as a manager came, we asked if they could make a vegetarian sandwich with greens, tomatoes, cheese, spread and spices. After all, they agreed and beat something together on a bread, but as the proverb goes, since it doesn't look like they really wanted to do it, it was so bad when we had it that it surprised me, how can someone make a sandwich so tasteless! Service lousy is based on my experience as they did not want to help or make something new. That was very dissimilar experience that we had in other Montreal offices as they were very flexible ambience sitting is good, but we did not sit in the restaurant because we wanted a takeout price value poor as we wanted a high price for an annoying sandwich advice a sandwich at one of the places in the city and take it with you
