It was quite a heavy and overwhelming combination. I couldn't even finish my portion and I don't think I'll be ordering it again anytime soon. However, the fries were delicious. I recommend asking for the gravy on the side to avoid a messy meal.
If TripAdvisor allowed it. A stinking hole, inedible food, toilets ughhh, service what service? Everything burned to a crisp AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
We rent an apartment near this lovely place in Montreal. It 's a very nice pub where you can find tipical plates of Montreal!!! I suggest everyone to come down the 9th avenue and try the petite putine . :
Frite Alores (French) fries well you gotta try it. I don't know how they make it but they do know how to make fries right. Very nice package for to go orders, will go back in a heartbeat.
Frites Alors, a restaurant chain established in the 90s with 12 outlets in Montreal and Quebec City, was recently visited by the reviewer at the location on 9th just off of Masson. They ordered two large poutines - the regular and the duck poutine - for take-out. The service was quick and the staff was welcoming. While the fries were not as good as those at La Banquise, the cheese and sauce were above average. However, the high prices were a major drawback, with the total cost for two poutines without drinks reaching $40. Additionally, the prices in the restaurant were higher than those advertised on the website. The portion size was also smaller than expected, with the "large" poutine resembling a regular size at other establishments. Overall, while the meal was satisfactory, the lack of value for the price led to an average rating and the inability to recommend Frites Alors to others.
