We had a large group dinner at Margaux, although I have been before numerous times, and every single time they really deliver. Like always, this past time, the menu was varied, there was no wait at all, and the service was pleasant and efficient. Had such a great time, awesome onion soup!
We were three for lunch...one had the trusty bavette ,fries and salad and we two ladies had the veal tongue which was so tasty..accompanied by mashed potatoes and on a bed of vegetables with mushrooms . Dessert was a lovely pear tart but I do have to say that I make a better pastry... I love going for lunch ...the waitress, the co owner is lovely and the gentleman server most accommodating..till the next time.
Six good friends enjoyed an exquisite meal at this BYOW restaurant on Park Ave at Laurier. We opted for the table d'hote for $50/head which included an amuse-geule of a very fresh gaspatcho, an entree (escargots, warm chevre, crab cake, frogs legs , a plat (veal chop, veal escalope with lobster sauce, onglet de boeuf, carre d'agneau and dessert (ile flottante, lemon/lime mousses, chocolate mousse The restaurant is small but not tiny, modern, well spaced (by today's standards . Wine service was prompt, written menus as well as chalk boards and service was charming and quick. A totally delightful evening
We were 7 people and all of us were satisfied with the food at the end of the night. It's a little bit expensive but worth it. you should definitely try the desserts too. It's now my favorite restaurant in Montreal. Highly recommend it.
