Great place. montrose is a great, small Chinese restaurant family run and great eating. eating there for 4 years had never had a bad meal! not fantasies, but not expensive. if they are in ndg, they will check it.
This is our delivery restaurant for cheap Chinese dishes. For what it is, it is excellent. Food is always fast and hot. We found a combo #5) that we like and find order for 1 with some steamed rice on the side... is a lot for two of us that makes it very reasonable price-wise. The phone people and delivery people are great. I know Chinese food quite well and that is not where I would go for an authentic or high-end food experience, but for the typical fast food Canadian version of Chinese comfort food, it is great, We have never eaten in the restaurant, but have often ordered delivery from them.
I never leave reviews, but not ORDER OF THIS RESTAURANT. That was my favorite Chinese food store, but their customer service is HORRIBLE. I placed an order by Just Eat and the delivery time was for 20:15. We didn't take the food until 9:00. When I called the restaurant, they were very rude and REFUSED to compensate for this, although the food was cold when it finally arrived. Only Eat could negotiate with them for us, and they offered only 20% as compensation. Absolutely terrible customer service – find another restaurant that respects its customers.
I tried Chinese food from this delivery service. It took about an hour to arrive, which may explain why the food was either cold or slightly warm, affecting the overall quality. The wonton soups were okay, but the egg rolls were almost completely cold. The main courses were inconsistent - the fried rice looked unappetizing, the chicken pineapple balls were decent, and the Singapore noodles were good. The portion sizes were appropriate for everyone. I was disappointed that there were no fortune cookies included. The total bill came to about $70 including tip, which seemed quite expensive for the quality of the food. I am unsure if I would order from here again.
