Risotto was excellent with just the right amount of porcini mushrooms, fish of the day was a bass served on a bed of lentils and beans....out of this world...but here comes desert a Pistaccio Tartufo….just a taste of heaven with every bite.
The food at this restaurant is incredible, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is cozy. Everything on the menu is delicious and you can't make a wrong choice. There is a wide selection of fantastic entrees, the risotto is amazing, and the fresh fish of the day is always outstanding. The little exclusive delicacies make you feel like you're in Italy.
Do not hesitate for a second; make a reservation and get there quickly! What a wonderful little restaurant. Dominic, the owner, is the one who truly sets this place apart. He has a knack for managing restaurants, providing exceptional customer service, and impressing all of his customers. The chef deserves praise as well - everything on the menu is amazing and delicious. The menu is written on a chalkboard and changes weekly, using fresh seasonal ingredients. Keep up the excellent work, Pranzo - it is a hidden gem in the heart of St-Michel. Definitely worth a visit!
This restaurant is a hidden Italian gem located in Saint Michel. Upon arrival, you are greeted with delicious black olives and grilled bread. The appetizers are all excellent, but you also have the option to order antipasti. The menu is small, focusing on a few items done very well, and it changes regularly. Typically, there are a few meat dishes, a pasta dish or two, and one or two seafood dishes available. Although rabbit is highly recommended, it was not available during my visit. That night, I enjoyed the octopus as my primo and the veal as my secondo. Everything was delicious, flavorful, perfectly cooked, and portioned perfectly. For dessert, I highly recommend the homemade tiramisù. Reservations are essential as the dining room is small, with just over 40 seats, and it is often full. With good food, friendly and professional staff, generous portions, and authentic Italian cuisine, I highly recommend this restaurant to lovers of Italian food.
This little secret is hidden in the northern part of the city; far far away from the hustle of downtown but worth the trip if you 're in the area. It has a very loyal customer base and limited seating capacity although there are additional tables added on the terrace out back during the warmer months. Service from Tony and Domenic is top notch and their recommendations are always spot on. The menu changes weekly so even if you 've been there already, chances are you 'll have something new to choose from when you return. Prices are on the average side meaning affordable considering the quality. Entries and starters were phenomenal with special appreciation for the burrata which is imported from Italy. Our pasta dish was their pappardelle with porcini mushroom which was memorable, it 's their house specialty. Main course consisted of osso buco and veal scallopini; both were up there with the best I 've ever had. Deserts were fresh and tasted homemade. This is the kind of place you 'll find in those little Italian towns where the locals eat and socialize. Like I said, it 's a little outta the way but for people in the know this is a keeper; meaning don 't don 't spread the word too much:
