Pineau - Montréal

The noise level was occasionally a bit high because of a lively table of twelve beside us, but their energy was charming rather than overwhelming. Overall, it was truly a superb meal, and this place is a must-visit in Montreal. The prices were fair for the quality offered, and the natural wine paired beautifully with our dishes, including duck with figs, eggplant, ribeye, cod, and the desserts. I’m not sure how they balanced those flavors, but it worked wonderfully. The desserts were also fantastic, and the dessert wine paired with the poached pear was just on the edge of being too sweet for us, but it somehow fit perfectly. Again, this restaurant is a gem and a must-try for anyone visiting Montreal or even for locals seeking a delightful meal.

The new restaurant wasn't too crowded during our visit, but I'm confident that the efficiency, friendliness, and professionalism we experienced would remain high even when it's busier. We chose this place after reading a great review, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The menu may be concise, but it is well-rounded and incredibly creative. Everything was truly fantastic—the flavors, the finesse, and the presentation were all top-notch. The cocktails were excellent, and the extensive imported drinks selection was impressive. To top it all off, the service was absolutely perfect. Bravo! We'll definitely be coming back!

The menu is large and the plates are very well presented and with lots of flavors and beautiful mixtures. It's a very refined restaurant. lacks a pleasant atmosphere but with friends we had fun. a good bottle of wine for $50 with several choices. Too bad it was a friend's birthday and the restaurant had no candle. Maybe you buy it!

This is a fantastic new restaurant with a creative menu. We have dined at Pineau twice since its opening and will return for sure. The gnocchi and halibut dishes were among the very best and the small plates, including the calamari and beet and kale dishes were also excellent. William picked the perfect wine to go with our meal and the service was top notch. The cocktails were inventive and delicious. Next time we will try the tasting menu. This restaurant will soon be ranked among the best in Montreal. Don't wait, just go now.
