The food used to be pretty good for value but now they’ve raised prices twice in the past few months, which I would be sympathetic if the owner wasn’t petty and pressuring about leaving tips for what is a takeout counter. I was really upset about his rudeness and after dozens trips here I will no longer be going, which is a shame.

Amazing home style Japanese food. One of my favourite stops on a regular basis. Can easily recommend everything on the menu no misses here. The onigiri is the best and the chicken is unreal.

Came here because I was in the mood for something consistent and homemade feeling. The food here is amazing and top quality! The staff are really friendly and kind! They will assist you if you have questions about their dishes. Will come here again and definitely try the curry

Food and service is great! Love Japanese curry: it’s affordable, tasty, and fast. It’s not fancy Izakaya so try not to compare it to that. Go somewhere else if you want some kind of dynamic experience, but you will pay much more. The Plateau was desperately in need of some inexpensive new places to eat, and they nail it! I do not like their chairs, but it’s a very minor complaint. However, if you have back issues and need comfortable seating to enjoy a meal, this might not be optimal.

My Ebi Katsu tasted just like it does in Japan (I'm Japanese). I will definitely be coming back to try more of their dishes.
