Unfortunately, they were out of gyoza and takoyaki, and the soup in the miso ramen was slightly salty. However, I still enjoyed the authentic taste of the miso ramen. I will definitely return when I'm craving miso ramen again.
Just from the entrance alone, you'll want to steer clear of this restaurant. The ramen quality is subpar and there is no compelling reason to choose this place over others.
I used to be happy with the ramen and service at this restaurant before COVID. However, I am now dissatisfied due to the understaffed environment and poor service quality. My order was brought out much later than my friends' meals, with several other tables being served before ours. There were no explanations or apologies for the delay. Despite eventually eating, my appetite was ruined. I paid for my meal but will not be returning to a place with such subpar service.
Busy little spot with decent ramen. I was looking for a quick bite and found this place with a small croud of people. I haven’t much experience in ramen soup restaurants but I had the spicy silver option. The broth was fantastic, just enough spice, and a decent price. Cozy atmosphere and friendly efficient staff. I would go back.
After a brief visit around the downtown farmers market yesterday, I was looking for an a restaurant I have not visited before. I saw Misoya. I love ramen. I took a chance. I looked at then menu before seating. The menu was a little confusing Gold? Silver? What? I sat down at the counter table near the window. I ordered, a vegetable ramen. The ramen arrived, I tasted the first sip of the broth. The broth tasted chemically NOT natural NOT home made. Then the star of the bowl, the ramen. Well the ramen, tasted like it was full of preservatives. After reluctantly eating the ramen, it was finally done. I went to pay my meal. I asked the server at the till, is the ramen made fresh? the server said they were made in Montreal. Like Tim Hortons, the donuts are manufactured in Oakville, and shipped the franchises. Mmmmmmmmmmmm gross. First and last time. You can tell a great ramen restaurant where there is an line-up before the doors open everyday. Go to Tokiwa is the BEST ramen restaurant in Edmonton! Period.
