Restaurant Alexandre - Montréal

There are restaurants on this street that are well known and charge twice the price of this Restaurant. It is not necessary to spend a great deal of money to get a very good meal with excellent atmosphere.HELPFUL HINT: Eat upstairs for a quiet meal with excellent atmosphere. It is your choice if you want to eat inside or outside.Check them both out!!!

Beautiful and elegant place! Super luminous and clean! The waiter was really friendly and made sure we were satisfied. The food is typical greek and includes pasta options. HUGE dishes! Most of them include soup, salad, desert and coffee. We all tried the caramel flan (creme brulee) and ABSOLUETELY LOVE IT. Everything had a home made taste, plus the prices are super affordable (from about 15$ to 35$). What I also liked was that we didn't feel like we had to leave soon, very nice ambiance. Would definitely recommend to friends!

We just love this restaurant for many good reasons. The food is good, not high end quality BUT it is AMAZING, never been disappointed, the ambiance is great, the staff is amazing, the prices are good for what you get and the décor is just gorgeous, so why not go eat there? Honestly we are always amazed at the ridiculous line-up at the restaurant facing Alexandre, called Les Jardins de Panos which is way more expensive cause you don't get anything in your plate and food is gross, with a bad/little menu and you're eating next to spider webs...I don't get it, reputation of the name I guess. Well, Alexandre is the place to go if you want to eat well, plenty of food and pay cheaper. Bring your own wine is a plus too! Must try as a couple or as a group.

We popped in on a whim on a quiet lunchtime. We were the only patrons in the restaurant. We were greeted kindly and shown to our seats. The restaurant itself is bright and the decor is to a good taste. We ordered the lunchtime deal (soup, salad, main and a dessert)The food was lovely and was out quickly. And oh my was there a lot! When we were settling our bill by card, the waiter got funny and asked why no tip was included on the card payment. Which if he wasn't so impatient he would have seen in my partners hand. He then proceeded to snap this out of her hand without saying anything and walking off. Great trip spoilt at the last minute with a bad attitude!

There was no one in this restaurant the night we went, so we had the who place to ourselves, well downstairs anyway, not sure what was upstairs. The waiter was helpful and friendly but no more friendly and helpful than anywhere else. It is a bring your own wine type of place as are a lot of the restaurants on the street. The food was average and rather overpriced for what you get. We left a tip for the waiter, as we did everywhere, but he complained that it wasn't to his satisfaction and demanded more. I think this was very rude of him and cannot recommend the place. The Greek restaurant on the corner was generally better.
