Restaurant Frida - Montréal

I am thrilled to see that there are now more authentic Mexican dining options available than there have been in decades past. The only issue now is trying to find the time to sample them all.

Their food is a glorious tribute to all things Mexican; the tacos are flavorful with just the right amount of spice, the homemade salsa is to die for, and their margaritas are simply splendid. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with colorful decor and friendly staff. If you're in the mood for some authentic Mexican cuisine, Cafe Frida is the place to go.

The restaurant has a small menu with tacos and quesadillas, all tasting very similar. The tortilla soup was disappointingly watery and had an artificial broth flavor.
