Prices are okay but portions are very small. Restaurant is nice, finding parking is hard - even though it's a paid parking lane. Ambiance is good, cozy and clean place. Staff is very nice and helpful.
We have been twice for weekday lunch with their 6$ specials and once as a family for dinner. I now sometimes have cravings for their veal kabab. The service is good and attentive. A really great find near the Market.
Worthy and delicious enough for work day lunch! It has also everyday special that are the great choice. Specials are 6$. It has place for around 20 persons.
Stopped in with my sister to meet up with some friends. We were 6 adults and a baby at the table, and we ordered 3 meat plates and 4 vegetable plates to share, along with 4 orders of rice and 4 pieces of garlic Naan. The garlic Naan was perfectly browned, and glistened with a perfect glaze of garlic butter while retaining a chewy interior, fresh from the oven. We were hungry and the food each and every plate was delicious so we polished off the whole spread except for one of the plates of rice. All of the dishes were flavourful, and prepared to perfection, from the ginger lamb, to the daal. This is the best tasting Indian style food that I have had in a really long time, maybe ever, and I went to school in the Indian food capital of Canada. Highly recommended. The atmosphere is basic and the prices are very affordable.
An authentic Afghan/Pakistani/Indian restaurant just by the Jean Talon Market with a homy atmosphere and cheerful, friendly service.
