Uncle Tetsu - Montréal

The Madeleines are fluffy and fresh, but during my first purchase, the flavor didn't resemble a true Madeleine. It was slightly bland, tasted more of ghee than butter, and had very little vanilla flavor or aroma. The dominant ghee or oil taste and smell were so overpowering that it didn't feel like an authentic Madeleine. However, my second purchase today was fantastic! It had a subtle buttery flavor with just the right amount of sweetness. The packaging was neat, and the delivery was prompt. I ordered a pack of six.

Yesterday, I visited around 7:45 PM and took advantage of their combo deal: buy one cheesecake and four madeleines, and get a fifth madeleine for free. I chose the original cheesecake, along with four matcha madeleines, and opted for an original-flavored madeleine as my complimentary item. I'm pleased to say that they did not disappoint! Both the madeleines and the cheesecake were fantastic. The madeleines were moist, with the matcha ones containing red beans at the bottom. After leaving the cheesecake in the fridge for a couple of hours to cool down, it tasted incredible—just as I remembered. Additionally, the male employee who assisted me was polite and friendly. He prepared my order quickly, and I left the shop feeling very satisfied. I will definitely be returning when cravings strike or when my friends and I plan a girls' night, as you can't go wrong with Uncle Tetsu’s light, fluffy cheesecake for dessert!

The Japanese cheesecake was a delightful treat, featuring a light and airy texture, a perfect balance of sweetness, and impeccable presentation. They even offer festive Christmas-themed cheesecakes!

We had a strong craving for cake, so we opted for Uncle's original cheesecake. While ordering, we spotted a deal on madeleines, so we ordered four and received one free. Unfortunately, the chocolate madeleines were quite dry, and the matcha-flavored ones, though a bit more moist, were still on the dry side.However, Uncle's original cheesecake never disappoints. It's delicate, delicious, and simply melts in your mouth. It's incredibly light, and we could easily devour an entire one without hesitation.

I was thrilled when I found out that there are Japanese cheesecakes in Montreal. They are very cheesy and light. We were very pleased They also offer tarts and cupcakes. It's a pity they don't have their own seating area; you can only get them to go.
