Vices et Versa - Montréal

I love the staff, the beer selection and the food! A must for beer lovers whilst in Montreal.

We visited here on a Thursday night after a nearby craft beer bar was too full, perhaps that was a blessing in disguise. As this place is great for craft beer fans - with 40 different lines on tap. Plus you can try 6 of any for $16. A really good variety of beers including DIPAs, goses and porters. It was so good that we came back on the Friday night. It was very busy that night so unfortunately service was a lot slower or we would have drank a lot more - but ended up asking for the bill instead after 20 minutes of trying to get some attention at the bar. Can't fault that staff as they were working so hard, but probably just needed some more help to cope with the demand, even if it was just a bar back collecting the empties so the waitresses didn't have to.A great place but maybe avoid peak times.Didn't try any food so can't comment on that.

Very nice bar! the terrace behind is splendid. The choice of beers is interesting. The food is okay, simple things to accompany the beer. staff a little rough.

When traveling I always want to try the local brews. If in Montreal this is the it place to sample beers. While there are brew pubs and many other options none match the selection or value here. There are a number of chalk board menus with 40 QC brewed beers listed. The beer names are in French and the brewery names aren't easy to decipher from initials only but the wait staff is fluent in English and very accommodating with all questions we could come up with. After a couple drinks and a snack our waiter offered suggestions for other bars that had beers they did not. (We checked out his suggestions and were not disappointed there either.) Menu is mostly bar food but the specials were more interesting gastronomically. We returned on our last full day in Montreal and were again pleased with the food, and of course, the beer. Will definitely return on our next visit.

Food: A Drinks: A Atmosphere and hospitality: A Can't stop the colorful neighbors from leaning over the bar and asking for a spare fry or a handful of change but other than that we had an incredible night. 10/10 definitely coming back.
