We were seated quickly, but the service was slow, which has been a consistent issue during our second visit. The waitress did not speak English, but fortunately, we are fluent in French. The food was excellent, ranging from the flavorful chicken noodle soup to the freshly breaded chicken parmigiana. My wife enjoyed linguine with bacon and mushrooms in a blush sauce, while my father-in-law had penne bolognese with sausage and black olives. Both dishes were perfectly cooked and delicious. We opted for the special which included soup, a Caesar salad, an entree, coffee or tea, and dessert, all for a great price. It was a delightful evening, especially if you are craving Italian cuisine.
Somebody recommended this place for their wood burning oven. Seriously? I have had better frozen pizza . The sauce is horrible and the dough is just dry and tasteless. We also shared a submarine which was just ok. The service was very good but I...wouldn't go back because of the poor quality food.
We visit this restaurant multiple times a year. It is perfect for families and parties. Every dish on the menu is delicious, and the staff is polite and charming. We always have a great time.
Buona Sera, the oldest restaurant in Montreal City, continues to thrive to this day. Whenever I visit Montreal, I always make sure to include a stop at Buona Sera in my itinerary. Their wood-fired pizza and pasta are consistently amazing.
Hadn't been there in some years. The steak steak submarine was good. The French fries were good too. The onion rings were like from a frozen box so did not enjoy them. The pizza dough is ok but not crazy about sauce. The furniture...still the same as years ago.
