Howard's Bagels - Montville

Great food service can be good but they need a better system for preorder versus dropin this can be confusing when people come in for the first time

We go there every weekend for bagels and take some home to freeze

Stopped in at Howard's the other day on my way to work (not my normal spot, but I had an early appointment up the road). Despite a couple of older poor reviews, I found the place totally acceptable. When I got there there were a few people waiting for their orders, but I was greeted and the young lady took my order quickly. As the orders came out there was never any confusion and the guy was friendly...a couple of the people who came in after me were clearly regulars and didn't even need to order the young lady jumped to get their regular orders. As I waited I wandered around the place and it was extremely clean, well lit and welcoming. I will day they are a little more expensive than other places I go and their bagels are a little smaller than other places (less calories is ok when I'm getting a sandwich so I didn't mind), but overall it was a great sandwich and a good experience.

Good sandwich. Really nothing special. Coffee is actually pretty good because most places serve that really mild type of coffee. They have a wide variety of food to choose from. Your average bagel place
