Junkyard Brewing Company - Moorhead

My inaugural Junkyard visit was my last stop of my Thursday brewery tour so I was quite chatty and beertender Tyler was more than patient and accommodating with me. I was asked several people what they were drinking to which Tyler would say I told you, you can sample anything! . As a fan of sours I opted for the Melting Skulls. I had three more beers that were all just as delicious! The very well balanced Basket Weaver IPA, Nutty Little Fella and Lou Dogg Hefe. I really liked the tap room, so spacious w garage doors open and the fun murals!! Parking was a breeze at the large lot across the street. They have a nice big patio out front. Tyler was friendly and took great care of me, a few other staff I talked to were also kind and helpful. Thanks Junkyard for the delicious and fun first visit. Cheers!

I absolutely loved their Dive Bar NE IPA, it reminded me of Tree House's Haze from Massachusetts. The staff was incredibly helpful as well.

We stopped in for late lunch. Nice ambience. Nice t-shirts for souvenirs. Great service. Can order food from next door restaurant.

We decided to stop at this restaurant because I was curious about a beer that Junkyard had recently released called Gooey Lewis and The Brews, which was a sour inspired by jelly and granola. We brought our dogs along and sat at an outdoor table. The brewery itself is small and located off a main road, but the overall atmosphere was great and I admired the artwork on the walls. They don't offer flights but they do have half pours available, so I tried a variety of sours while my husband stuck to regular beers. The beers were delightful, especially the Icee-inspired sours. I also purchased some crowlers to take home which were reasonably priced at around $7 or $8 each. The staff was friendly and the restrooms were clean.

My husband enjoys lagers and I prefer frothy drinks, and we were both able to find beverages we enjoyed at this restaurant! We discovered this hidden gem through the Harvest Hosts program.
