Taste Of Punjab - Moorpark

My daughter and her best friend came here for lunch, and we ordered both appetizers and main courses. We ended up spending nearly $70, but my daughter didn’t enjoy her meal because it tasted old. To make matters worse, the owner was very rude and refused to offer an alternative. I would not recommend this place—it’s not worth your money!

The food was average at best, but the Peshwari naan we received was burned, and the chicken makhani was severely under-seasoned. The owner claimed it was supposed to be mild, but I’ve had mild makhani at other restaurants that was far more flavorful. Additionally, the quality of the meat was very poor, to the point where I felt unwell after eating it. While the food was disappointing, the service and cleanliness were equally concerning. I barely touched my meal, and any other restaurant would have offered to address the issue, but instead, this owner insisted that my mother pay for the food we couldn’t eat. She also mentioned that the kitchen floor was disgusting, and while we considered that it might be tough to keep everything clean, we decided to give the place a chance. I would strongly advise anyone thinking about dining here to look elsewhere. There’s a reason this restaurant is empty on weekends, and it’s not just the rude staff and owner—it’s also the quality of the food.

I got lunch take out from here since the reviews are pretty good. I ordered the chicken Tikka Masala and garlic Naan. The food was pretty good but to my surprise, the chicken Tikka Masala does not come with rice. This is the first Indian place I've gone to where the rice isn't included. I would say for the price this isn't worth it.

Very good! I normally don't like tofu, but my wife decided to order the tofu soup for us to share. Amazing flavor! We also enjoyed the chicken tikka masala and tandoori chicken masala. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I called to inform them about the problem, hoping they would take it seriously and prevent any potential food poisoning for other customers. However, the woman I spoke with was incredibly rude and defensive, insisting that she had served the same fish to many others that day without any complaints. Her tone was unprofessional, and there was a complete lack of courtesy in her manner. As a result of this experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. I suggest seeking out other options for Indian cuisine, rather than risking your health by dining here.
