Moriches Bay Diner

We indulged in an incredible feast, starting with stuffed mushrooms—large buttons filled with creamy crab stuffing and served with a delightful sauce. Then we had a Greek salad, heaped with the best feta cheese we’ve ever tasted, accompanied by a fantastic red wine and feta dressing. Next, we enjoyed a classic onion soup, served in a crock overflowing with melted cheese. For our main course, we ordered burgers. I opted for a lamb burger topped with feta salad and gluten-free fries cooked in olive oil, which was a fantastic choice. The lamb burger came highly recommended by a long-time patron: "We've been here hundreds of times. You have to try the lamb burger." My husband's choice was the Jack Daniel's beef burger. As a cattle rancher, he approved of the beef's quality. He had regular fries, which I suspected were cooked in soy oil, but I was thrilled to have the olive oil option. We couldn’t resist splurging on some baklava to take home, and I must say, this is where the drive is particularly worth it! Nick, the baker at Moriches Bay, has created the most delicious baklava we have ever tasted—trust me, we’ve tried many. It’s expertly made with walnuts and the perfect amount of honey, making it memorable without being overly sweet, yet still wonderfully sweet in every way. The portions are generous, the food is top-notch, the menu is extensive, and the atmosphere is lively and bustling. Kay and the manager, Phil, were incredibly engaged with their customers, offering warm smiles and a genuinely caring attitude. Our server, Aly Alexandria, was kind, efficient, and busy, but we never felt like we were lacking for anything. This place has definitely made it onto our list of spots to revisit. Bravo, Kay!

Fantastic diner! I tried the He-Man breakfast, and it was amazing. The French toast was made from double-dipped challah bread, which was wonderfully soft on the inside and perfectly crispy on the outside. It was delicious, and I highly recommend it! The service was outstanding as well. I will definitely be back!

Comfort diner food at its best. Friendly staff but a little slow sometimes . Prices are decent . Can?t Make up your mind? Just eat here .

Eggs Benedict was fantastic. The our favorite skillet was pretty good as-well. I?d go back. We sat at the bar and they had a nice display of homemade treats (as seen in photo) all and all the staff ways enjoyable and humble. Worth giving a tip.
