Burke's Motor Inn - Morris

The usual Fat Spoon experience—no complaints from me, though.

Delicious food, served quickly by friendly staff in a clean environment, with reasonable prices.

Adding this place as a restaurant, as it only seems to be listed as a bar elsewhere. The bar is definitely worth a visit, but the restaurant deserves recognition too! Who would have thought that the former Gasthaus Gutenburger would be hidden away in Morris? Although they don’t offer the big Friday buffet that the Gutenburger was known for, they have an interesting and tasty selection of classic dishes. I regret not trying the gourmet grilled cheese and peanut butter sandwich and instead opted for the chicken club. The sandwich was beautifully made, featuring excellent rye bread. The chicken was tender, though I would have liked a bit more bacon. The portion of fries was generous and looked hand-cut. The BLT was also delicious. The soup of the day was a hearty beef vegetable soup that was very rich. The staff was incredibly friendly, and if you need anything, just let them know and they’ll make it happen. They also offer a variety of freshly baked cakes for dessert, but unfortunately we were too full to try any, although we did manage to save room for the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. Mmmmm. This is a great little spot with very reasonable prices!

This place offers the best breakfast and service I've ever experienced. The staff is friendly, the service is quick, and the prices are fantastic—you really get your money's worth!
