La Ferme de la Fruitière - Morzine

Loved our dinner at La Ferme last week wonderful cosy atmosphere, fantastic raclette, lovely staff and great service can highly recommend if you are in Morzine!

Myself, my husband and 2 sons (aged 13 and 11) went to the restaurant on Thurs 20 Feb 2020. From the moment we walked in to the minute we left it seemed as if the staff couldn’t wait to get rid of us. They rushed us through our pre dinner drinks, starters and dinner. Not child friendly as they didn’t have a kids menu and when we asked if we could swap my son’s potato dauphinois for any other type of potatoes they simply replied ‘non.’ Yet, when my raclett came out, it was accompanied with new potatoes. Very expensive with rubbish service, I come to Morzine often and will not be going there again!

We ate here on a ski trip in March and the food and service was excellent. Highly recommended. The steak in particular was great.

Arrived at the restaurant with high expectations, had a reservation for 7:00 pm and at that time we were the only customers in the restaurant. The fondue was ordered and cleared explained to the waitress that there is only 1 order of fondue, to our disappointment we were charged for 2 orders. We did not fight it as at the time to pay we were fed up with the service. The local win e ordered was average.We had ordered also the perch plate which was had a bad taste, the suckling pig and that duck. Since we could not finish our meals we asked to have them packed for take over. The server came back with them packed in aluminum foil, quite a low way of handling.The place is beautiful, but it didn't make you feel welcomed or valued as a customer, the owner helped in clearing our table after having the meals and never asked how we enjoyed the food, he looked kind of pissed off.On leaving the restaurant none of staff wished us goodbye. So this establishment is certainly off our list.

The prices here are really quite high so expect a big bill at the end - €27 per person for fondue to share is definitely topping the budget. That said, the fondue was out of this world and super tasty with the breads and salad. Unfortunately the meat was not to my taste - a big to piggy flavoured however this is personal preference. I would recommend - the building itself is gorgeous and the roaring fire in the middle of the room sets a perfect atmosphere for a romantic or family meal. Was too full to try dessert, but their selection of ice cream flavours left me very intrigued!!
