Walked in, no one greeted me, asked where to go to be seated, told to walk just a little further in, still ignored by the countless waiters standing around - finally served by an unfriendly waiter after being shoved to the side by another patron. Had to ask for our order to be taken, waiter was rude and said someone will come. Ordered the Breaky Stack which to my surprise came with 'added' ingredients not on the menu, specifically Mushrooms - this is incredibly reckless & irresponsible of the Chefs to do this. Additionally the poached eggs were half serves due to poor poaching skills, and the bacon was not fully cooked through due to the serving of this on skewers. Service was generally poor, we encountered one helpful waiter who rectified the meal, the other waiters had a poor attitude - overheard a table asking for some water politely and were told that they need to help themselves as it is not table service - if we are paying for cafe service the least this waiter could do was bring some water to the table - they went without. It was not busy and with the amount of staff on it was a very disappointing experience. - similar to others experiences on here!

Rude staff. Shows a clear "don't care about the customer attitude". Not taking accountability for the issue. Won't accept card payment. Won't come back. There are so many better places in Sydney.
Disappointing. My husband and I booked for our anniversary dinner. I called the morning of our booking (at 8:48am) to confirm BYO - yes, every night the lady confirmed. On arrival at the restaurant the brisque waiter, Peter, advised no BYO and said he'd sack the person who said it was......Hmmmm.....disappointing all round. We sat at our table and discussed lack of integrity and felt no, not the right vibe from Peter. (Not even an attempt to apologise - even a large corkage charge would have been a discussion point vs I'm going to sack my staff - just unyielding and so uncustomer centric). Thankfully Afous (with Omar) is next door - packed with patrons and managed to squeeze us in (with our BYO). So, just a word of warning for all and learning. (And explains why Plonk had only 2 bookings for the night.........) You know, never going back !
This is no longer really a cafe, the food is more of a restaurant and prices to match.
