The -b-q Pit - Moultrie

The ribs are fantastic, and the grilled chicken is excellent as well. While I usually skip salads, I always look forward to the salad bar here.

The Pit isn't as bad as it sounds. We ended up in Moultrie on a Monday night, and aside from the usual chain restaurants, there weren't many options available. We enjoy grilled food, so The Pit seemed like a good choice. It's a straightforward, small-town restaurant. The service wasn't stellar, but that’s to be expected. The food was decent overall, but nothing particularly memorable. The Brunswick stew was quite nice, and the grilled chicken was good as well. However, the chopped pork and ribs were a bit too fatty for my liking. Overall, it was just okay.

The thin cut smoked pig is so good for DIE (even if you happen to be an Eastern NC BBQ fan)!!!! The 7-layer cake is also fantastic! Staff are super friendly locals that make you feel at home. Don't miss!

My late dad's favorite restaurant, and I can totally understand why. The food is amazing! The place is clean, and they are very thorough about sanitizing everything. The staff all wore masks. I’ve eaten here more in the past few weeks than I have in the last 27 years! I couldn’t help it—everything was just so delicious!

Great family oriented environment. Excellent salad bar. All you can eat catfish Friday and Saturday. Kid friendly menu and more! Not to mention excellent steaks!
