Unfortunately our employees stopped to have a meal. They were unceremoniously greeted by a women wearing a boot on her foot telling them they were not allowed to eat there. Being a tolerant person I reached out to the restaurant via phone so I could better understand the situation , I gave my name and title to the employee that answered the phone. Sadly I was hung up on. We employee local people to work in the oil and gas community. Some of those people we employ are commercial drivers. If that was a problem I wish it would have been stated or communicated with me via telephone when I called. Not hung up on. I’m assuming that the ownership of this establishment cares for their employees the same we care for ours. Thus was the reason behind me wanting to know more. Why are commercial drivers not allowed at your restaurant? If you have a loved ones that drive commercially imagine how they would feel to be publicly humiliated for wanting to eat at a restaurant instead of being stuck living off gas station food. I’m not telling anyone not to go to this restaurant. I’m actually telling you to GO to the restaurant ask them why they have such an issue with hard-working men and women commercial drivers trying to make a living while supporting their business with their patronage. Only to be greeted with scorn and incivility. To the owner , I would love to have a conversation about your operation and how everything that runs your business is delivered by a hard working commercial driver. I hope you have a blessed day and maybe your scornful employee can apologize to our drivers in person. Humility goes a long way in my book.
