We stopped at Nic's for breakfast. It was busy and we were lucky someone was just leaving. It's obviously a popular place with the locals. Breakfast was very good with excellent local sausages. Great coffee as well. All round, very good value.
To stay close, nic’s was recommended to me. I have brought a delicious takeaway coffee (with mandelmilch) and excellent carrot cake muffin. the carrot cake muffin had real zesty cream cheese “Aicing” and was really delicious. nic is lovely, he opened the cafetür. for me when I had my hands full! then I went to “TV Hill” to mount barker lookout to enjoy my afternoon with the magnificent view.
From outside, nic looks like an old fashion city café. once inside, the dinge look a bit cooler, that is not a caffe directly from the 1960s! the meals were generous and also cheap. coffee and tee also very good. would be very happy. next time I'm in mt barker.
As a native I am several times at nic in the last few years. the staff is so very friendly that eat well prepared and delicious. the environment is warm, welcoming and clean. often they see the natives who are each other and welcome. the personal will be accommodated. any question they can, so if they want a sweet potato instead of a normal one, they simply ask! highly recommended for local and visitors alike. I hope they continue to do well for the coming years.
