The Grove Kitchen - Mount Cotton

Beautiful café with friendly staff. I ordered the duck waffle, but unfortunately both the duck and the waffle were dry. They provided a generous amount of maple syrup sauce, but considering the other flavors, it might have been better to have more of the tangy sauce instead. A more generous portion would have greatly improved the meal. For $28, it wasn't worth it this time. Hopefully, my next visit will offer a better experience.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The coffee was lukewarm, and the soft poached eggs were overcooked and more like balls instead of being runny. The bacon was overdone as well, and the black pudding was lacking in flavor. The homemade beans were too dry and barely had any sauce. I ended up returning my meal. On the positive side, the staff was friendly, but I think the chef needs to go back to culinary school for some retraining.

The restaurant is conveniently accessible from the parking lot. The staff behind the counter are all smiles and very welcoming. The ambiance is relaxing, whether you choose to sit indoors or outdoors. Overall, I would rate the food 5/5, the service 5/5, and the atmosphere 5/5. Highly recommended!
