Freshies Somesville - Mount Desert

Terrible place to never work again, especially because they can't find managers doing their work and actually make sure their crew is. I loved my job until an incident happened. Also good luck with their food most of it has expired and not first of all to ensure u check every date and time for everything u buy.

They have cut back to the amount of chicken salad in the packs, literally hardly in there, just this started a few days ago, demolished at $7.49 plus tax. No, thanks.

The shop itself is beautiful, clean and a nice selection included....Hats! If you need walking shadows, they have cool hats. The DELI is a nightmare. Workers rude, Inept have no idea. Probably because Freshies like any other company on MDI can not get workers and the people who are ready are a hot mess here. You keep making pizza literally and if you want to order from the menu, they look confused and it will take time............. In the meantime, you will be lucky to have every 'hot food' here at any given time the hot food area is literally completely empty as can this be? You can keep 'Pepperoni Pizza, but everything else like hot dogs, burgers, crispy chicken sandwiches, mozeralla stix forget it. And after 5:00, they don't like to make food for hot bar. Where we come from this hot bar stays full for people especially for dinner time 5 8 burgers, fries, dogs, Brotix you are lucky to find before noon they leave you hungry here and you will be with a cold sub. We ordered sandwiches paid and picked up our sandwiches and left a heavy pony dick woman ran to our car and asked if we paid???! seriously we wanted to pull on the busted road from the front, it gets much worse after we told her of course we had another paid black lady with Dreadlox asked to see a reception crazy!!!! Avoid them at all costs bizarre behavior on numerous occasions only at those of us who want to order things......... Unfortunately, Freshies like many other companies on MDI boxes get workers and can only get unstable who only a few weeks....so sad. We try to find out how people live or earn when none of them actually wants to work?? Actually, you wonder that over many other areas as well as we travel a lot, how do they make money if they don't work?? At least never saw adults who don't know how to make a sandwich until Freshies in Maine. Dirty personnel problems here and at most other freshies nearby.

This was very good for a gas station market! I had a nice experience with the low prices and the variety of options considering that the location of the shop is in a somewhat abandoned part of the island. I love it!! I have a pizza here for less than 3 dollars and it was surprisingly good!!!! DEFINETES RECOMEND FOR a QUICK PIT STOP in MDI!!!!

Grossly poor sanitation...no gloves dealing with food wiping hands on a dirty apron 4-5 times per sandwich...rack dropped on floor was returned to sandwich prep area from floor by another gloved employee that then moved food with same gloves on...gee did I put you out by ordering my lunch? Never again
