York Family Bistro - Mount Evelyn (VIC)

My partner and I returned to York after many years, and our previous experience with dining was just average, with typical service. However, after our visit tonight, we were truly impressed! The food was absolutely fantastic, with generous portions, especially for senior meals. The staff was incredibly friendly, providing exceptional service with warm smiles. We will definitely be regular diners from now on!

The best menu item, Chicken Oscar, has been removed. Please bring it back! Also, we were informed that there are no more paper menus, which can be a problem if there's no phone service, as we wouldn't have access to the menu. Fortunately, we found a friendly server who managed to find some for us. If you prefer not to use paper menus, consider posting the menu on boards or TV screens, as not all customers have smartphones that can easily access it.

Very busy today so our meals took awhile but our company was great so didn’t matter too much, staff were very helpful.

The staff was friendly, and the prices were reasonable, making it a great value for the money. While the menu was somewhat limited compared to what I saw online and in the app, it still offered a nice variety that exceeded many other bistros. The atmosphere was a bit loud during my dinner visit on a Sunday evening. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and plan to return to try a Sunday meal.
