This place is definitely not the chain with the same name. They serve incredible, fresh Middle Eastern food. The falafel and hummus here are the best I've ever had!
I can't emphasize enough how excellent and authentic this restaurant is. The food is fantastic, the soups are outstanding, and the place is impeccably clean. Plus, the portion sizes are generous.
I'd give it five stars but you know it is a little takeout stand in the middle of a gas station convenience store. So everything is premade and they assemble it in front of you. So the tabouli and everything else is already made a little containers But for quick grab lunch or even a catering tray for dinner of chicken and rice it's a good deal. I have ordered the catering tray it's a lot of rice not a lot of chicken, but it is all very delicious and the garlic sauce is to die for.
A gas station in Mt. Laurel NJ? Doesn't sound like much, but when one puts their pride aside and steps into this joint, they won't be regretful! A stroll past the frozen slushies and lottery tickets brings one to a classic, no frills counter with a simple menu. I opted for the pita pocket, since that is the name of the restaurant after all. I was met with friendly service and a delicious meal. The chicken orzo soup tastes fresh out of your grandmother's ladel, and the falafel pita is hard to beat for the price and convenience.
