Amazing burgers and coffee, with a fantastic and laid-back atmosphere. This is my favorite spot to unwind on a Friday night.
Sunday Brunch time 2 people in the place Go to counter no smile no Hi...and no beer on tap .. we ran out and havent re ordered.. no apology...no offer of assistance... General care factor ZERO.. I 'd normally walk out about now ...but as it was highly recommended i persisted and ordered the boss $15 and 20+ minutes later (after I went next door to 5 Bar for the draught beer I couldnt have here... the Boss Burger was slapped down in front of me with the same ZERO care factor... a brioche bun advertised as baked daily seemed stale... the pattie advertised as hand made on premises and cooked to a juicy medium pink ... was a very strange (dry grey shade of pink... the advertised freshest produce and made by qualified chefs to make our produce really sing ...was decidedly OFF KEY as the 3 slices of cold tomato were clearly from the day before and nearly frozen..some sort of onion/sauce combination that was unidentifiable and 1/3 of the bun made up of lumps of lettuce stacked high with the above ingredients and skewered with a kebab stick making it impossible for anyone other than those able to disengage their lower jaw to take any sort of a manageble bite through all at the same time ... very discordant. ... Overall when combined with the chilled atmosphere which consisted of cliché shabby chìc that was quirky in the 60 70 's then revived in the 90 's but so passè in this decade... one word....tragic.
Visited on a Sunday lunch, found the food to be nothing special average burger at best. But the food would have been ok if there was any ambience but there was none at all. Funky looking but didn't deliver.
Whether this is really a popup or will be around for a while, I don't know. I think it has been open about 10 months now. Tasty, well cooked burgers with basic toppings, mayo, mustard, bbq, cheese, bacon and onions. Fries are well cooked, but skinny fries. Nice selection of hard and soft beverages, including some craft soft drinks. Friendly service, lots of different kinds of customers for a Wednesday dinner hour, including what seemed to be an extended family. Not cheap, but not out of line for Oz.
