The GOOD: pork chops with lychee and apples were refreshing, red emperor fried well (crunchy outside, moist inside) served on top of crispy rice-noodle-bubbles, full of flavour, lots of texture. Service friendly, restaurant spacious. The BAD: dishes were oily but kuey teow was dripping in oil, pork chops a bit dry, waiters don't seem to communicate (we were asked the same questions upon arrival and during ordering), waiter forgot to take our order. Pretty yummy (if you know what to order). Our friends recommended the pork chops and fish.
The old adage 'don't eat at a Chinese restaurant if there is no Chinese in it' applies to this place. Ordered one of the noodles menus and the noodles were off. You judge a Chinese restaurant from their noodles, right? I give 2 because the other dishes were palatable although average.
Nice ambience, friendly service, fresh food. This is sorta the typical Westernized Chinese food, aka sweet and sour, deep fried...etc. not saying it's not good but it's not for me. Quite genetic but the overall dining experience is positive.
Go for the easy parking, relaxed quirky red ambiance (Chairman Mao, Bruce Lee and fat Buddhas), well shaped wine glasses, the byo and excellent though salty food. wino-sapien.blogspot.com
Wow. 74 dollars for 4 boxes of unhealthy food. Should of gone to hjs. average taste. Yuck
