It is now located next to a florist and across the road from its old arcade, which may appeal to fans from their previous location. Tampopo was one of the first restaurants to offer takoyaki, a popular Japanese street food similar to fish balls served on skewers. In addition to bento sets, they also serve udon ramen noodle soup. It is one of the best value restaurants in the area and this review is long overdue. Compared to their old stall, the new premises are a bit darker and sometimes tables are not properly cleaned after previous diners. Tampopo only accepts cash, but there are ATMs nearby. If you are a local, you probably already know about this place. If you haven't tried it yet, you definitely should! Lunchtimes can get busy, so plan accordingly.
I always make it a point to visit this restaurant every month. It is still my top choice for Japanese cuisine in Perth, and I cannot find any faults with them.
This restaurant is fantastic for Japanese cuisine. The portions are large, the food is high quality, and the staff is welcoming.
I love Japanese and the food here has never disappointed me. I just wish they fixed the wonky table outside.
Been aroiund Mount Lawley for a long time. Must be doing something right. Reliably Japanese for Sushi and Miso, plain food served quickly.
