Shingle Inn - MOUNT OMMANEY

Customer service was polite and charming, and I have taken the covid precautions. my ei florentine was great and also my coffee. I'd like to come back here.

I went to the Shingle Inn at Mt Om on Saturday Jan 31 for lunch with two of my daughters. The food took a long time to come out and when it did it was COLD when it was meant to be HOT. I ordered Eggs Benedict London and was so so so disappointed I did not want to eat it but I had already paid I did think about wrapping it up to take home to my dogs but then I changed my mind. The ham was a processed ham not shaved as in the menu description. The hollandaise sauce tasted liked melted butter it was horrible. Food is precooked, frozen and then reheated. As shown by the puddles of water under the frittatas. They heated the cakes up as well and I've never experienced that at any other shingle inns in Queensland or New South Wales and they didn't ask if we would like them heated. Asked for no sauce or no nothing on sour dough bread but they slathered it with butter instead to the point there were chunks of butter on the lettuce as well. Disappointing given I've only had good food at all other shingle inn.

Terrible experience. just because I and my sister were younger than the average demographic of rich old lady drinking tee was treated terrible. it was my first time, and I really wanted to try their cake as recommended by my mother, but was treated like an annoying and was not a pleasant experience. Please advise their employees to continue the customer service regardless of their age.

A reliable coffee stop during the walk in mt ommaney shopping center. the large cafe latte is served hot and is full of taste. a good coffee!
