Bardwell Winery - Mount Orab

As we walked in, we were greeted with hesitation, almost like we were unwelcome. We mentioned that we were interested in trying some beer or wine. We did manage to get a table and eventually ordered a beer. However, when we asked about food, we were told that they weren’t serving and didn’t allow takeout either. The overall atmosphere made us feel like we were intruding. We quickly finished our beer and found a delightful Mexican restaurant nearby, along with a beautiful winery a bit further east (look out for my next two reviews on those). My main takeaway from this experience is: don’t claim to be open if you don’t want customers walking through the door.

I loved coming here for paint night before the pandemic hit. They still have great food and even better sangria!!

I've only made it through the salad, but I'm already amazed. This place is truly a hidden gem. I'm so pleased to have discovered a spot like this in Mt. Orab. It has a refined atmosphere without being pretentious, which feels fantastic. Whether it's the delicious Pinot or the complimentary samples, I don't know, but whatever it is, great job!

We had an excellent experience at Bardwell Winery! The food was delicious, the wine outstanding, and the people were wonderful. My husband and I love to support local family-owned businesses, and this one truly impressed us!

I had a fantastic evening! This restaurant is an excellent place to dine, and the ambiance is perfect for a date night. The food is delicious, the service is top-notch, and the Sangria is definitely a must-try! In the summer, they also offer live music, which adds to the experience. It's a charming little restaurant!
