Golden Phoenix - Mount Pearl

The restaurant is overpriced and some dishes are not prepared well - mussels were undercooked and chicken wings were overcooked. The sushi consisted of rice and imitation crab wrapped in soggy seaweed. Overall, the food was not the best quality.

Love the buffet. The only thing I dislike is that I get full too fast and can't eat more of everything :P yum!

The buffet at this restaurant is exceptional, offering a wide variety of choices. The only issue was that some items, like the chicken balls, were undercooked, while others, like the fried pork, were burnt. Additionally, they charge for refills, which could be considered a downside. Overall, it is still worth trying out at any time.

Loved this. First time being here. Extremely friendly service. I use a walker and was asked a few times if I needed help. The food was great. Chicken balls had great meat to bread ratio, Mongolian (I think that's what they were called) Meatballs were so delicious. Excellent selection of food. Our server was very friendly, polite and cheerful. Made sure we knew there was no rush for us to finish. The restaurant was clean and quiet. Highly recommended if you ever visit St. John's Newfoundland.

I ordered Golden Phoenix for delivery with no expectations. It was so flavourful and spicy. I got the hot and sour soup, rice and yu xiang eggplant. I was actually blown away by how good it was. I will be ordering again for sure.
