Mill Street Tavern - Mount Pleasant

Restaurant had clean lines and a beautiful, uncrowded view of Shem Creek. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was well-prepared and tasty. Extra bonus: dog friendly patio seating.

What a wonderful unexpected find. My wife and I visited during our honeymoon in Charleston. It was recommended by a local, and those recommendations have never failed me. They didn't this time. We made reservations, and we did notify them it was our honeymoon when they asked about special occasions. We were greeted with warm smiles and a complimentary round of champagne. It's about time I share my thoughts, especially since I've dined here over 10 times! This place is an absolutely fantastic dining destination. The food is consistently excellent, and the drinks are great as well. I highly recommend the Shrimp Tempura sushi! My boyfriend and I have brought every single family member and friend who visits us to Mill Street Tavern. The views of Shem Creek and the sunset are stunning. The staff is incredible; they go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and feel right at home!

The fantastic food combined with the view of Shem Creek made for an unforgettable experience. The smoked trout dip appetizer was delightful, and the spider sushi roll (with soft-shell crab) was outstanding. Both entrees—the shrimp and grits and the braised short rib skillet—were absolutely delicious. We will definitely be returning to try their brunch menu!

My family dined here on a Friday around 4 PM, and we had a wonderful experience. The waitstaff were extremely friendly, and the views were stunning! We had made a reservation, but it turned out to be unnecessary since the restaurant was quite empty at that time. The salmon was absolutely delicious and left me feeling both full and satisfied. The mac and cheese and pulled pork were also excellent! While the menu is limited, the quality of the food truly stands out. I highly recommend giving this place a try!
