I am a big fan of fresh fish and seafood, so I was thrilled when Abundant Seafood opened a stall on Magwood Lane by Shem Creek. Abundant Seafood supplies most, if not all, of the restaurants in town, so you can expect to find unique selections that you won't find in supermarkets or even Whole Foods. The menu changes depending on the catch of the day and is usually posted on their Facebook page. If not, there is a board outside the store with the options and prices per pound. Although the selection at the store on Montague Avenue is wider, the stall on Shem Creek still offers plenty of choices. Parking is limited, but you have the option to purchase a whole fish or watch as they fillet it for you. It's a simple and authentic seafood experience.

I have bought fish from many different markets in the Carolinas, but Abundant stands out as one of the cleanest facilities I have ever seen. The fish is consistently fresh and the customer service is top-notch. The staff really know their fish. If you find yourself in the Charleston area, definitely make the trip to visit them. They are the best seafood market on the South Carolina Coast. Thanks, guys!
