So when I drove the other way towards Goshen I was happy to come across the Double J Cafe. It's a cute little yellow building and they have a nice logo (I work in marketing I notice those things) so I wanted to stop by.
Most definitely try this out. Not fancy but good natural home cooked food. I had the fried fish with mac cheese and baked beans and a side of green beans. These beans were so tasty, slow cooked with onions, garlic and a bit of pork (I think) anyway I didn't share my serving. Ha! My friend had steak, tender and cooked to order (rare)! The folks who run this place are very nice. Pumpkin pie was great! Also a nice selection of beer including some imports and local micro brews.
My friends and I have eaten at Double J a number of times . . . always clean, always friendly, always great service, and the food is very good. Dinners are generous, sandwiches are always served the way you ordered, and the prices are reasonable. Several restaurants have occupied that space, but this is the best hands down! We hope it stays around a long time . . . The Empty Nesters of Heartland Christian Church
Just what this little town needed!. Burgers are amazing, chicken salad is heavenly, pecan pie taste like my great aunt lilas'
Woah! Don't overlook this tiny restraurant!. This little mom and pop restaurant has it all. The prices are fair and the food is delicious. between my family I think we tried the whole menu and not a scrap of food was left. My 13 year old son even spent some of his own money to bring home a bowl of potato soup for him self he liked it so much. (that says a lot)
