Taco Island Tex-mex - Mount Sinai

I order from this restaurant all the time because it's conveniently located on my way home. No matter when I go or what I order, the flavors are always consistent, and the food is so fresh that I could swear the ingredients were just processed that morning—who knows, they might be! All the sauces they provide are fantastic; my favorite is definitely the Verde, as it complements everything. If you prefer hot sauce with more flavor than heat, you should definitely try their homemade hot sauce. I will keep coming back to my favorite spot on Long Island!

We heard about this restaurant from friends and decided to check out their Google reviews before trying it ourselves. We placed our order on-site and only had to wait about 10 minutes. During that time, it was impressive to see how efficiently they handled multiple order pickups and deliveries through Uber Eats. We ordered a variety of dishes for four people, and everyone truly enjoyed their meals. Everything was prepared exactly as we had requested, and the food was packaged well with plenty of sauces to sample. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be ordering from them again!

I worked for a company that hosted an event on-site, and they hired a taco truck to cater. Despite the scorching heat of over 100 degrees, the aroma wafting from the truck was incredible! The line was long but moved quickly. I ordered the combo plate, which came with two street tacos filled with carnitas and a buffalo chicken empanada. It was absolutely amazing! Outside the truck, they offered a variety of drinks, including Jarritos, water, and different sodas, along with chips, pickles, and guacamole. I’m from Greenlawn and would gladly visit the truck again! I love carnitas, and I’ve never had it served this way before—I absolutely loved it!

We used their food truck for my sister's bridal shower and they exceeded all my expectations. The food, staff, and price were unbeatable. We've used food trucks for events before and while they were always a good experience, Taco Island was by far the BEST. I highly recommend using them. The food is outstanding. Probably some of the best Mexican food I've ever had.
