Very good food. In a town with tons of Mexican food to choose from, it doesn’t disappoint.
So, I’m eating my food and start to feel something hard, I chew and crunch, my tooth starts to hurt and I spit out the food to find a piece of metal in it! Update…. I am writing to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding an incident that occurred during my recent visit to your establishment. While eating my meal, that I ordered through DoorDash, I bit into something hard. As I chewed, I felt a sharp pain in my tooth and realized there was a piece of metal in my food. Naturally, I was quite alarmed and my tooth started to hurt. I immediately brought this to the attention of your staff by calling and then walking to your establishment. The owner's son inspected the object and claimed it was a piece of plastic, although it felt very hard and caused significant discomfort, plastic, metal or both what is it doing in your food you serve to customers. . During our conversation, they asked to keep the object, which I initially agreed to, but later returned to retrieve it after consulting with an attorney, who advised me to retain it and allow them to take pictures instead. When I returned, the owner's son and some workers in the back made light of the situation, laughing and using the term “evidence” in a mocking tone. This response was deeply upsetting. I did not come to your restaurant to be ridiculed or to have my concerns dismissed. I came to enjoy a meal and instead experienced pain and discomfort due to negligence. The atmosphere was very uncomfortable, with the staff's demeanor suggesting that I was at fault. To be laughed at for being served food with a hard object in it is not only unprofessional but also degrading. One customer even suggested calling the police over this civil matter, which was unnecessary. However, I did contact the police and obtained a reference number for the Washington Health Department to ensure this issue is properly documented. I understand that mistakes happen, but the way this situation was handled is unacceptable. Regardless of your establishment's popularity or long-time customers, serving food with foreign objects is a serious issue that should be addressed with the utmost concern and professionalism. I hope that moving forward, you will take appropriate measures to prevent such incidents from happening again and handle customer complaints with more respect and seriousness. YIKES. Then to say the pictures aren’t what I brought in….wow. I retook two more photos that didn’t have food on it. People, humility takes a lot, and to say that is not the same object when it is, is a huge red flag as to the integrity the owners of this establishment withhold. Why would the object be anything other than what came from your food that ended up in my mouth? The gaslighting is unreal.
My family was looking forward to try the food of this place, the manu looked amazing. I ordered a Rib eye and ask our server (Natalie) to please ask the cook to make medium (I specifically said I want to see pink in the meat), when the food came the meat was over cooked, we waiting for 20 to see her again to tell her and she immediately became very defensive stated “I didn’t make like that the cook did” … right away we told her, we know we just want to know our options she threw her arms up in air and said I will get you another server. Unfortunately the service is very poor, very unfortunate because this seemed like a nice place .but the service very rude 5/6 I reviews the response from Chápala restaurant indicating that they do not have Rib eye stake, only carne asada, which is even more concerning, because their menu clear indicates “Rib Eye” and they have a couple of plates titled this ways. You saying that you do not have a server named Natalie is pushing back and rejecting the feedback, instead of in humble manner acknowledging that your server did not act in a polite manner. The server didn’t want to disclose the name of the manager when we asked, the name of the server is irrelevant what matters here is the poor customer experience we received.
Bad service with the owner bad character, good food but bad service
