Moe's Southwest Grill - Mount Vernon

This is our first Moes experience. We are enthusiastic fans of Chipotle Restraunts, so we hoped for a similar experience. From our side of the counter this reminds us very much of visiting a chipotle. You order at one in the counter and then follow your order in the direction of checkout instructions the food handlers on how to dress your food. On a positive note, unlike Chipotle, Moe's offers free chips as well as a greater variety of toppings / ingredients to create the perfect personalized dish. On a negative note, unlike Chipotle, the protein is not prepared a surface that is visible to the consumer. Chipotle has grills behind the counters, making customers feel freshly grilled meat. Between the four of us we had three different proteins and all seemed newly heated or otherwise grilled. Not a deal breaker, just not the fresh grilled texture/taste. Overall, a positive experience, if this was a Chipotle restaurant, it would get two or three stars. Since it is not, it will get a four-star rating.

Had a custom burrito and the seasoned beef is delicious! Love the chips and salsa and queso too. Service was friendly and fast and will come back here.

Great way to assemble a healthy meal. Fast service and good health options. Beware: Large portions.
