Ruby Tuesday - Mount Vernon

I had dinner at this restaurant and the New Orleans seafood was very good. My companion had the petite fillet, which was cooked perfectly to his liking. However, the broccoli was cold, the potatoes were pasty, and the A1 sauce was refrigerated. His gin and tonic was delicious. My margarita was served in a 12 oz water glass, with little tequila and no salt on the rim. I probably won't be returning anytime soon. The only good thing about the experience was that the waitress was great.

I had a great dining experience a few months ago, with fantastic wait staff and delicious hot food. However, my recent dinner experience was not so great. Despite our attentive waitress, the first thing we noticed in the dining room was that the tables were not clean. We sat by the windows, and the wooden blinds were extremely dirty. Even when our table was wiped down before we sat, it was still sticky, causing our napkins and cutlery to stick to it. Two out of the three meals we ordered were dry and overcooked, as if they had been waiting while the pasta dishes were being prepared. The burger bun was stale and not served properly, making it difficult to eat. Overall, it was not a fantastic experience. This restaurant needs to improve its cleanliness and food quality in order to compete with other dining options.

The restaurant staff is not knowledgeable about the different cuts of steak. The potatoes had a fishy smell and seemed to be at least a day old. However, the second-star-worthy aspect of the meal was the decent taste of the food.

I was there at 7:50 a.m. the door says they close at 10; the server told us 9 no big thing; they should probably change their mark. the food was good. the garden was full of fresh choices. the margaritas could have been better. I have ordered pfirsich and regular. all in all, it was a fair experience, just a few hiccups.

Well the last straw was the nasty piece of long hair I pulled out of my mouth making the entire experience awful… but to start the we received our appetizers at the table but no plates.. then the plates came out dirty like totally unwashed plates! The staff was dirty and looked short handed which every place is. Then to top it all off, I couldn’t get a cocktail to go even though it is legal under House Bill 669 in Ohio… I really could have used a drink after the hair or at least dessert but that was not offered!
