Root to Tail - Mountain Brook

Cannot really rate the restaurant because we got there on Easter for our reservations and they were closed for business. Very upsetting on a holiday to end up with no place to go with your family. Not sure why they would not have the consideration to at least contact people with reservations. I guess it’s Better that they are no longer in business if that is how they do things

Very disappointed on this visit. In the past we’ve really enjoyed our experience. We had Saturday evening reservations at When we ordered our meal the server came back to tell us not once but twice that were they out of the filet and the soup of the day...at I call it bad planning. My husband spoke to the manager who was very nice but nevertheless my husband had heart set on their filet. It will be awhile before we go back. Too many choices to be disappointented on an evening out

Enjoyed the experience overall. Our entrees took a little longer than I would have expected given the restaurant was not overly busy. When our plates arrived,the food was warm but not as hot as I prefer. I didn’t particularly care for my dish but perhaps it was just not to my liking. The mussels had a strong flavor that I didn’t care for. Our Server was excellent and frequently checked in with us

Really great restaurant. Good food, good service, great locationwe will be back
