Captain Jim's And Seafood

I have eaten fish from all over the US I thought that I had eaten some really good fish.....until I went to Captain Jim 's!!! Oh my goodness!!!! This is the VERY BEST fish I have ever had! It is perfectly cooked every single time the flavor is amazing!! I can 't bring myself to order anything else but the fish because it is so good! If you order the All you can eat Fish Chips , you start out with 3 pieces of golden flaky juicy cooked to perfection fish along with fries slaw with a couple of hush puppies. You will continue to get 3 more pieces of fish..... as many times as you want! But you have to be able to eat it all there at the restaurant. I think the record is a total of 9 fish at one sitting. It is just $3.00 more than the regular Fish Chips. Believe me, it 's a great deal for all you can eat Fish!! My husband has been the same way, only ordering the fish because it is SO GOOD!! But yesterday he ordered the Carolina Burger he said it was AMAZING!! I don 't know if I 'm willing to order a burger because I 'd miss out on the fish! ? I guess I 'll have to order a burger to go so I can eat it the next day, at home.

I got a mahi-mahi plate $23 way overcooked did not eat it, didn't want the slaw or the french fries wanted salad instead, was charged extra, my husband got an oyster plate with the extra side of oysters $29 he did not want the slaw or french fries either he wanted salad instead, was charged extra, there were only two tartar sauces for both plates my husband asked for two more and was told he would be charged extra no drinks no desserts and our bill was $64, if I can add correctly $23 and $29 $52 so not sure how the owner came up with $64 thats $12 in extras, just because we wanted salad instead of her nasty slaw and ff but that was our 5th time of going to this place 2nd time got the big cheeseburger and it was raw, I WILL NOT go back the owner with her nickel and dime extra this and extra that, it's definitely not that good I could have went down the road made reservations and had seafood and a steak for that price, and would not have been asked to pay extra for tartar sauce or ranch dressing or salad instead of fries and slaw, good luck with your nasty kitchen and hot dining room, you would think with them kind of prices she could afford air conditioning, by the way this was a to go order and gave us nothing to eat it with

If you want good seafood or a awsome burger Jim 's is the place it does come with a price and get ready to get nickel and dim 'd for the Condiments you would think a little cup of ranch for your fries would be free or if you eat fish you get more than 1 small cup of tarter without having to pay extra. We love the food . They need to ease up on the small charges ?

A gem in the midst of the mountains! We stopped in during our visit to Mountain City. Just a lilttle hole in the wall restaurant, but the food was awesome, and everyone was friendly.

Love this place! Tiny little gem inside Mountain City with delicious fried seafood and sammiches! My son got Ellen's Cheesesteak platter and his eyes rolled back into his head on his first bite before he devoured it. We got the Fisherman's Platter with oysters. Probably the best fried pollock I've ever had, and I'm originally from Florida! Oysters were amazing, delicate and savory with the fried crunch. Their tartar sauce is the best I've ever had, and their sweet tea is perfection!Prices are competitive seafood prices ,but you get a LOT of bang for your buck! Heaping servings. Their Slaw is divine, better than KFC and pairs well with the saltiness of the fried seafood. This is a must try little restaurant that is sure to blow your socks off!
