The Pickled Beet - Mountain City

What a treasure in this small mountain town: We enjoyed every part of the experience here from the enchanting and welcoming facility to the loving and welcoming staff. And the FOOD. Top quality, fresh, generous portions, and not a bite was boring with the series of sauces and accompaniments. Very vegetarian friendly! Formed is the grilled cheese du jour, with a garlic spread and one side of tomatoes dipping sauce, potato salad, and the grain and root veggie salad

This place is a great find! We are from Houston to visit family and wanted to eat breakfast and find this Jem. Food, drinks and until service was amazing. Will come back when we're back in town.

The salad was so good that we couldn't hold back and bury ourselves in this picture! This land café offers refined aromas; delicious dressings, handcrafted breads and use of local vegetables in their kitchen. We had a combination of tuna salad, old grain and chicken. Staff are friendly, helpful and treat like family. If you are here somewhere nearby, it is worth stopping for a delicious meal.

Wow, what a jewel!! My sister and I walk through this sweet city and found the best place for lunch EVER. The chicken salad was Ah-Maze-ing!!!! Will it be back to this city for lunch!!!

We were traveling north to VA from Boone. Google searched a lunch stop. The catering pictures sold me on a view. Even without a boat or water view we had a wonderful time. It was outstanding food and service! Atmosphere is a cute. Wish we lived closer.
