Feedback gevenWe arrived a bit after 8:00pm on a weekend and were seated within 5-10 minutes. Service was very good compared to what was mentioned in previous reviews. We had the mapo tofu and spicy cumin lamb with fresh noodles. Both dishes had good flavor but unfortunately parts of the lamb dish weren't warmed thoroughly. I expect this oversight is something that will be improved on with more experience. Overall I'd recommend the restaurant and plan to return.
I missed out on going to Chang'an with my friends the first time, and I'm so glad that I was able to make it out with them on their second trip. We went at opening time Saturday 11:30am. It's a dedicated noodle place with gross-looking menus because they don't replace the paper, but the decor, food, and the service all make up for it. Our servers were attentive and offered explanations when we were chatting about the noodles. Food came out fast and almost the same time. Appetizer was good. Nice amount of spiciness for my spicy beef noodle dish and my boy's spicy cumin lamb. A bit on the salty side, but that's pretty standard with eating out these days. Lots of parking available, and not too expensive. Will definitely come back.
Tasty and colorful dishes. Everything we ordered was good except for the numbing spice veggie noodles, which tasted weird after a while. That could have used deeper flavors, funny to think about but the numbing spice alone made the flavor profile flat. Get the cumin lamb noodles instead. Wish this place was closer to where I live!
Good taste, good prices and portions. -0.5 for a bit of a long line up even on weekdays, -0.5 for forgetting a dish that one of our table members ordered and delayed his order for ~10 mins. Parking is easy as well. Would recommend!
The food at this restaurant is fantastic, but the rudeness of the waitress is difficult to overlook.
