There are multiple entrances to the restaurant—the front, side, or back—which can be a bit confusing when trying to meet up with friends, as "meet in the front" could mean either the parking lot or by the registers inside. The dining style here is cafeteria-style: you line up, place your order at the counter, and are given a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready for pickup. You also have to grab your own drinks, silverware, condiments, and napkins. In terms of the menu, expect classic American fare like burgers, fries, sandwiches, and hot dogs. I opted for a crispy chicken sandwich priced at $15. While it was crispy and delicious—especially with the chipotle aioli, which is my favorite—the chicken was comically oversized compared to the bun, making it difficult to eat. Though the restaurant offers a nice view of the golf course, water, and cute structures like a small bridge, the overall experience was merely alright. The outdoor chairs and tables weren't properly cleaned; they had spider webs, debris, and even bird droppings. It wasn’t impossible to tidy up, but it was definitely a hassle. As for the food, it’s not terrible, but it left something to be desired. If you're in the area and already golfing nearby, it might be worth a visit. However, I feel this place is more suited for conferences or convenience rather than being a destination restaurant for a lunch outing.
I've been coming here for years, but the service has really declined. The coffee is disappointing for $4, and the wait times are excessive. It's clear they're severely understaffed. I remember when this place was enjoyable to visit. When the food finally arrived, it was just average.
**Food:** I ordered the Joe’s Scramble and also tried the Denver Omelette. I definitely preferred the Denver Omelette, as the cheese added a wonderful flavor to the dish. I found the Joe’s Scramble a bit too plain for my taste. The bread that accompanies the meals was quite good too! **Service:** The service is more of a self-service style, with a counter setup. **Ambiance:** The view of the golf course along the shoreline and the Google campus was nice, though not particularly spectacular. Overall, the food is decent diner fare—not extraordinary, but definitely satisfying if you're in the area and need a refuel like I did!
The service at this restaurant needs improvement. The food is average, but I've noticed that their breakfast special has increased in price by $4 in just a week, going from $11 to $15. This includes overcooked scrambled eggs, two crispy bacon strips, two thin breakfast sausages, and two slices of toast, one of which was burned. I would say their best feature is the seating area; however, during my visit, they were cleaning and the staff member didn’t seem pleased with the job. The chairs, tables, and floor were left wet, perhaps the person was hoping the cloudy weather would allow them to dry quickly. I’ve been there a few times now, but I think it’s time for me to look for a different place.
Today, I tried the crispy chicken sandwich, which includes coleslaw and comes with a side of fries. It was tasty, but the coleslaw made the sandwich a bit soggy, and the chicken could have been juicier. However, the fries were wonderfully soft and served hot. I might stick to my go-to lunch option next time, which is the Chinese chicken salad, and definitely order a separate plate of fries! The patio is a lot of fun, perfect for watching the birds and golfers with their amusing remote control caddies. The refreshing breeze and views of the Shoreline golf course are always a pleasure. Overall, it's a great spot for the atmosphere and some affordable food when you need it.
