We stopped here on the way back from Cobar on the advice of a colleague and were not disappointed.
Good food and very quick service, great ambience in the old butcher shop. Good variety and well executed.
From the moment we entered we were attended to by the most polite and helpful staff. We ordered and I watched a gentleman standing at the front counter attending to every detail which I likened to someone conducting an orchestra. His eyes never stopped roaming across the crowd preemptive of their needs and directing staff to them. This was a master restaurant manager in motion. I have rarely seen this level of care and attention to one's customers and pure bliss from a customers perspective. Most restaurants could learn a great deal from this gentleman. The food was delivered and was as outstanding as you would have expected. I only wish I lived closer so we could enjoy more of this fantastic place. Anyone owning and/or operating a similar venue may benefit from a visit to see the conductor in practice.
Went for breakfast on Sunday with a group of 6 friends and no one was particularly impressed. One of the poached eggs was way too undercooked, the coffee hit and miss with strength and 'burnt' flavour. I had muesli with fruit and yoghurt and felt pretty ripped off to pay $18 for cheap packet muesli. On the plus side, service was good, nice freshly squeezed OJ and serving sizes were decent. But honestly in this day and age, who runs a 'cash only' business?
